Introduction to TCP

Before we talk about TCP, one question everyone asks: What does TCP stand for? TCP are the initials for The Campus Paper, a newspaper we published for students in the 16+ age group for two years till January 2006. After that, we have gone online only as www.TCP.in, India's only youth blog portal.

TCP.in is the foremost blog representing the thoughts, aspirations, feeling and experiences of Indian youth. Most of the content is written by those in the 16-25 age group, with experienced editors mentoring them to ensure professional quality material.

Topics covered include music, travel, sports, politics, campus news, opinions, environment, social issues, fashion, technology, gaming, careers, education, body, mind & soul, music, art, culture, theatre and more.

On the path to success…
TCP as an entity was born on January 1, 2004 with the first edition of The Campus Paper seeing the light of the day in March. From then on, the publication has gone from strength to strength in terms of readership, number of pages and advertising revenues. The publication had gone national in June 2005. TCP received a major fillip when it attracted FDI in April 2005 at a highly favourable valuation.

The decision to go online was prompted by the need to reach out to a much bigger audience which print could not hope to achieve within a reasonable amount of time. And given the information age we live in, fortnightly and monthly publications often do not satisfy the needs of readers in a timely manner.
