CCS organises Unique Residential Program

Centre for Civil Society invites applications from college students for I, Society & Public Policy (ISPP).  ISPP is a unique residential program to engage college students in critical socio-economic issues through a theoretical and practical understanding of public policy.  The ISPP aims to help youth explore the relation of self to society & public policy and how they influence each other. 

The program will be interactive and challenging with interactive sessions with the practitioners, activists, policy researchers, policy makers, field exercises, working group exercises; and screening of documentary films.  Participants will also engage in a field research project during the program.

ISPP will be organized at Jamia Hamdard University Campus, New Delhi. The program is residential, participants are required to stay at the venue for the complete duration of the program. Participants will arrive on the morning of the June 8 before 8.00 am and depart by the evening of June 19 after 7 pm or morning of June 20.  Room and board is provided by CCS. 

The interested applicants can download the form from www.ccsindia.org/ispp.htm and submit it through courier or email latest by May 25, 2006. About 35 students would be selected based on the written application.  Selected participants have to bear their travel costs to the venue.

2007 Australian Scholarships

The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) is an Australian government initiative to encourage excellence in tourism and hospitality education.

Scholarships are offered for Masters, Bachelor and Diploma level studies commencing in Semester 1, 2007. All information regarding eligibility and selection criteria is included on the application form which can be downloaded from the website given below. Winners will be judged on outstanding merit. Applications close on 29 September 2006.

Invitation to the South American Business Forum

Hi! This is an invitation for you to apply and participate of the second South American Business Forum (SABF), the first student-run business forum in South America, organized for students from around the world, by students of the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology ( http://www.itba.edu.ar).

SABF consists in bringing top-regional executives and the brightest student talents together to dialogue and debate about "Politics and Social Responsibility in a Globalized World".

Summer University at Warsaw

The Warsaw School of Economics organises Summer University Warsaw 2006 between 8-23 July 2006.

All you need to do to apply for the summer university is to:

Volunteer in Rural Areas

INDIA FELLOW program provides you an opportunity to volunteer for 6 weeks with NGOs in rural areas; it's a “total emersion program” which means that you have to stay in the village for the entire duration. You would be working with carefully selected NGOs, through which you would get exposed to the various development challenges that India faces today.

Your stipend and travel costs will be covered by the Program.

They offer scholarships to international students who wish to study in Australia at THE-ICE member institutions.

THE-ICE Masters Scholarships
• Masters by coursework
• Commencing 2nd Semester 2006
• A grant of AUD $10,000 per year towards tuition fees/living costs for the normal program duration (around 1.5 years depending on program selected)
• Scholarship applications will be judged on merit

SCOTTISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
